Community Help in Park Slope holds annual fundraising gala

Guests enjoying past galas

Community Help in Park Slope, or CHiPS, will hold its annual fundraising gala on October 23rd, 2025.

The gala, held at 501 Union St. in Gowanus, will run from 6:30 pm to 8:30pm, and will be hosted by actor and Park Sloper, David Costabile, as seen in Billions, Suits, and Breaking Bad. Enjoy delicious food by local Brooklyn vendors, an open bar, and the chance to participate in a silent auction for one-of-a-kind experiences and items.

The event will celebrate the work that CHiPS and its supporters do all year round, and, in particular, will honor the work of community member and volunteer Marc Gordon and local church Trinity Grace. Gordon has been a dedicated volunteer for over two years and has gone above and beyond in his volunteer duties, organizing regular Block Association donations, working on administrative projects, and more. Trinity Grace Church has also been an essential CHiPS partner, donating sandwiches regularly and providing invaluable support to the CHiPS residence program.

This event is made possible through the generosity of our sponsors: NewYork Presbyterian Hospital, BSE Global, Wilkie Farr & Gallagher, the Ryan + Ryan Team, Avalon Bay, and Fanny and Jeroen Van Kwawegen.

About CHiPS

CHiPS is a local non-profit that provides housing and support to young women and their children and distributes around 4,000 hot meals and 700 pantry bags each week. The annual gala is a chance to contribute to the mission of ameliorating food and housing insecurity in New York City and to recognize the work done at CHiPS by a whole community of staff, supporters, and volunteers.
