Group Volunteering with CHiPS

Corporate and Community Group Volunteering Opportunities

Onsite Volunteering

We are always in need of Dedicated Groups of Volunteers to support our programs, with opportunities available in our Kitchen and Food Pantry.

Who we work with

CHiPS offers meaningful volunteer opportunities for groups of up to 10 people. We host group volunteers from a wide range of organizations—including companies, schools, community groups, and religious congregations. Whether you’re building team spirit or giving back with neighbors, we welcome your group’s energy and support.

What to Expect

Group volunteer opportunities are available for single 4-hour shifts from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday. Only community groups are eligible for limited Saturday shifts.

During your shift, your group will support two of CHiPS’ core programs, the Community Meals and Community Pantry programs, through a variety of hands-on tasks. Our Community Meals are served through a to-go window, and pantry distributions take place outdoors.

Community Meals Program volunteers…

  • Prep, pack, and serve hot meals

  • Assemble sandwiches and snacks

  • Assist with kitchen organization and cleanup.

Community Pantry Program volunteers… (only available on select Thursdays & Saturdays)

  • Organize shelves

  • Pack grocery bags with shelf-stable items and fresh vegetables

  • Help distribute groceries to neighbors facing food insecurity.

Volunteers are essential to keeping these services running. All groups receive on-site orientation and staff support.
